Why use NeuralWriter's AI Image Upscaler?

Most upscalers send your photo to a server, queue it, and stamp a watermark on the result. Ours does none of that.

  • Runs in your browser. Your image is resampled, sharpened, and enhanced on your own device. Nothing is uploaded, so there is no queue and no waiting.
  • Manual controls, not a black box. Pick the scale from 1.5× to 4×, set the sharpen amount with a slider, and toggle color enhancement on or off.
  • Before and after slider. Drag across the result to compare the original and the upscaled version pixel for pixel.
  • Choose your output. Save as lossless PNG, compact JPG, or WEBP, with the new dimensions and file size shown before you download.
  • No sign-up, no credit card, no watermark. Free every time, with no daily token games.

What is the NeuralWriter AI Image Upscaler?

It is a free online tool that enlarges photos and adds clarity without sending them anywhere. You drop in a PNG, JPG, or WEBP, pick how much bigger you want it, and the tool redraws the picture at a higher resolution right inside your browser.

The upscaling engine pairs high-quality resampling with edge-aware sharpening and a color boost. Resampling fills the new pixels using bicubic style interpolation, the sharpen pass tightens edges and fine detail, and the color step lifts contrast and saturation so the bigger image never looks flat. You control all three.

Output tops out at 4096 pixels on the longest side, which covers 4K and most print and display needs. It works just as well on photographs as on AI art from Midjourney or DALL·E.

How to upscale an image

  1. Upload your image. Drag a file onto the box or click to pick one. PNG, JPG, and WEBP are all accepted.
  2. Set the scale. Choose 1.5×, 2×, 3×, or 4×. The longest side is capped at 4096 pixels, so even large files stay within 4K.
  3. Adjust sharpen and color. Move the sharpen slider to taste and switch color enhancement on or off. The defaults work for most photos.
  4. Pick a format and upscale. Select PNG, JPG, or WEBP, then click Upscale now. The result renders in a second or two.
  5. Compare and download. Drag the slider to check the result against the original, then save the enhanced image.

Scale, sharpen and color, all in your hands

Most upscalers decide everything for you. This one exposes the three settings that actually change the result.

  • Upscale factor. 1.5× for a gentle bump, up to 4× when a small thumbnail needs to be much larger. Output is limited to 4096 pixels on the long edge.
  • Sharpen. A slider from 0 to 100 percent that runs an unsharp pass over the image. Higher values pull out edges and fine texture, lower values keep things soft and natural.
  • Enhance colors. A toggle that lifts contrast and saturation. Handy for dull or washed-out shots, easy to switch off when the colors are already right.
03

PNG, JPG or WEBP output

You choose the download format, which is rare in a free upscaler. Pick PNG when you want lossless quality or a transparent background, JPG when you need a small file for the web or email, and WEBP when you want both at once, modern compression with strong quality at a smaller size.

Every result shows its new pixel dimensions and file size before you save, so you know exactly what you are getting.

04

Nothing leaves your device

The whole process runs locally on the Canvas engine built into your browser. Your photo is never sent to a server, never stored, and never seen by anyone but you.

That matters for private documents, client work under NDA, product shots before launch, and personal photos you would rather not hand to a cloud service. It also means there is no upload time and no processing queue, so the upscaled file is ready almost instantly.

05

Upscale Midjourney and DALL·E art

AI image generators often output at a modest resolution that looks soft once you print it or blow it up on screen. Drop that render into the upscaler, push it to 2× or 4×, and add a touch of sharpen to bring back crisp edges.

The tool treats generated art exactly like a photo, so JPG and PNG exports from Midjourney, DALL·E, Stable Diffusion, and similar models all work. Useful for turning a square preview into a poster or a hero image.

06

Who uses the Image Upscaler

  • Designers and marketers. Push small assets up to print and banner sizes without opening a desktop editor.
  • Photographers. Enlarge a crop for a print or recover detail in a downscaled export.
  • Online sellers. Bring product photos up to the resolution that marketplaces and ad platforms ask for.
  • AI artists. Take Midjourney and DALL·E previews to 4K for posters, wallpapers, and prints.
  • Anyone with a tiny image. An old avatar, a saved meme, or a blurry photo someone sent in a chat.
FAQ

Questions, answered

Upload a PNG, JPG, or WEBP, choose a scale from 1.5× to 4×, then click Upscale now. The tool redraws the image at the higher resolution, applies your sharpen and color settings, and lets you download it. Everything happens in your browser, for free.

Upscaling adds pixels that were not in the original, so no tool invents perfect detail from nothing. What this one does is resample with a high-quality algorithm, then sharpen edges and lift color so the larger image stays crisp instead of going blocky or blurry. Moderate factors like 2× look best. Pushing a very small image to 4× will always show some softness.

Save the image from Midjourney or DALL·E as a JPG or PNG, drop it into the upscaler, and set the scale to 2× or 4×. Add a little sharpen to firm up the edges. The tool handles AI art the same way it handles a photo, which is handy for turning a preview into a print or wallpaper.

The longest side of the output is capped at 4096 pixels, which covers 4K. If your chosen factor would push past that, the tool scales it back to fit so the file stays manageable. Each result shows its exact dimensions and size before you download.

No. Every step runs locally in your browser using its built-in Canvas engine. Your image is never uploaded, stored, or shared. That is also why there is no upload wait and no processing queue.

Pick PNG for lossless quality or a transparent background, JPG for the smallest file on the web or in email, and WEBP for a good balance of quality and size. You can re-run the upscale in a different format anytime.

Yes. No sign-up, no credit card, no watermark, and no daily limit. Because the work happens on your own device, you can upscale as many images as you like.
